Over and above the choice of spine and shaft stiffness, for frequent archers, arrow length is extremely important for reasons of safety. If it is too short, it can be dangerous for the archer, and if it is too long, your accuracy will suffer.

To brace a bow means to string it. The only safe way to do this is by using a ‘bracer’ or ‘false string’ which progressively bends the limbs until the bow can be easily and safely strung. This method will extend the lifespan of your bow and prevent any warping of the limbs.
